　　 一言以蔽之，整部电影最富魅力的点是音乐剧改编，音乐唱词令人震撼；电影最大的限制也是音乐剧，音乐剧式的转场，音乐剧式的舞台，音乐剧式的人物，音乐剧式的渲染。
　　
　　 很难想象一个电影导演能如此缺乏雄心。两个半小时里我只听见他呐喊着"我要把音乐剧搬上大荧幕！"，可是难道不应该是"我要把悲惨世界的故事拍成电影"吗？
　　
　　 总之，即使卖点就只是翻拍音乐剧，我也认定电影不应仅仅是音乐剧的复刻，而悲惨世界的故事也不该仅仅是这样的复刻。The movie, the story deserves more.
　　
　　 惊讶大过惊喜，失望略超希望。
　　
　　 整场电影就是Hugh Jackman（Valjean）和Anne Hathaway（Fantine）个人魅力的舞台。连带还有那个让人惊喜的小革命者（Gavroche）。市长先生从污秽不堪的船坞抱走芳汀放在十几岁的少女眼里真是要融化世界，可我却一次又一次禁不住想现在背景里脸画的像小丑一样的其他妓女。多年以前她们或也是芳汀，只是不够美或恰好不是主角。隐秘的希望在我所不知的其他故事里她们也能是平凡英雄故事的主角，而不永远是聚光灯暗角上的影子背景。
　　
　　 改变一个人生命的方式很简单，只需要一点尊严，不需要太多面包。主教大人对于冉阿让的重塑就是尊严，宽容和爱。
　　
　　 悲惨世界，大概就意味着堕落的人物以及德性者的悲惨遭遇。
　　
　　 电影里最大的悲剧角色在我而言是贾维尔（Javert）和艾泊尼（Eponine）。Javert从贫民的世界里按照规则成功，他坚信上帝的荣耀和世俗的权杖是站在一起的；他坚信自己的严酷遵循的股则和法律是与上帝的意志，美德的指引一致的；直到冉阿让的出现，直到革命者的出现，他的信仰不可救药的崩塌了。而这正是生命不可承受的沉重。他总让我想起卡夫卡笔下流改营的少将，固守着旧世界的惩罚机器而不能与新的普世人权相容，从而只能自戮于崩坏的机器中，在"旧司令还会回来的"幻梦里死。
　　
　　 而Eponine，有什么能比一个为爱情心碎，甚至于献出生命的少女更美丽又悲惨的存在呢？那些独唱里喃喃自语的心事，存在于彼此眼里只有彼此的恋人身旁的影子，最终为所爱者献出生命。她出生卑贱，在邪恶的父母身边却出落成了这样一个纯洁的女孩，然而这样美好的心灵，终究也只能在死亡之后寻觅天堂。何等的悲惨！

　　Without a face to say hello to.

　　而revolution失败后Marius悲歌的独白，在泪眼朦胧的我看来，太像是献给34年前悲剧。青年的血唤不起恐惧中的人民。
　　“There's a grief that can't be spoken.
　　There's a pain goes on and on.
　　Empty chairs at empty tables
　　Now my friends are dead and gone.
　　
　　Here they talked of revolution.
　　Here it was they lit the flame.
　　Here they sang about `tomorrow'

　　 林徽因《哭三弟桓》写过，“而万千国人像已忘掉，你的死是为了谁！？”， 收拾血迹的女工们也唱着：
　　“Did you see them lying side by side?
　　Who will wake them?
　　No one ever will.
　　No one ever told them
　　That a summer day can kill.
　　They were schoolboys
　　Never held a gun...
　　Fighting for a new world
　　That would rise up like the sun.
　　Where's that new world now the fighting's done?
　　Nothing changes.
　　Nothing ever will.
　　Every year another brat, another mouth to fill.

　　至于现在，物质的富足让人养成别扭的自尊心，让我们不愿意承认精神世界的奴役。这个让诗歌和歌曲里诘问的世界，何其悲惨！？
　　
　　 旅馆夫妇Théardier的唱词里总提到他们才是未来的主流，我是不信的。德性没那么容易崩落，这也算是我在悲惨世界里的信仰。
